I got my tattoo today! I'm totally stoked. This picture was taken in the shop right after it was done and before it was bandaged. In case it's hard to tell, this tattoo is on my lower calf just above the inside of my ankle.
This was my first tattoo and apparently I tattoo really well (so says the artist). It wasn't excessively painful; some places hurt more than the rest and a few places even tickled a bit, but none of it was unbearable.
I did notice a problem when I got home though: Giant Squids have a total of 10 tentacles (8 normal length ones and 2 longer ones), this image of the giant squid only has 8... oops... lol. I'll have to go in once it's healed and see if I can get her to add a couple more.
If you have any questions about it feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them as best I can. I'm not an expert, but I now have first hand experience! haha.
